The Asia Cup 2023 is fast approaching, and we now have the official squads for all six participating teams. While Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, and Pakistan had already unveiled their squads, the Sri Lankan cricket board only announced theirs recently.
With the exception of Sri Lanka, which has selected a 15-member squad, the other five teams have opted for a 17-member squad. This means that a total of 100 players will be participating in the tournament, excluding traveling reserves. Among these players, there are 29 batters, 11 wicket-keepers, 26 all-rounders, and 34 bowlers.
The Asia Cup 2023 will commence on August 30 with Pakistan facing off against Nepal. The tournament will feature six Group Stage matches, six Super Four matches, and a final. It will be held in both Pakistan and Sri Lanka, with the final scheduled to take place in Sri Lanka on September 17.
Now that the squads for all six teams have been officially announced, let's categorize them into four different categories: Batters, Wicket-keepers, All-rounders, and Bowlers. Here's a breakdown of the official squad and the complete players list for each team:
